Engineering (Diving)

Mechanical and Marine Construction Corp. has the capability to design and inspect marine structures; our in house commercial diving team employs highly experienced construction divers to perform our inspections.  They are comfortable working in limited visibility, high currents, and adverse conditions that are typical in this region. We believe this offers a unique advantage and perspective which can complement the engineering team to arrive at a practicable solution to your underwater problems.

Through the use of our surface supplied diving equipment with communications and tethered color underwater video system, both the client and engineer can watch the inspection in real time and direct the diver to specific areas of interest and have a DVD copy to review later.  Other services include preparatory cleaning and underwater ultra-sonic thickness testing of steel structures or vessels, underwater side scan survey and marine utility locating
